QMS (Quality Management System) is the doctrine of the organizational structure at Rayform.
The goal of our QMS is to satisfy every aspect of our customers’ requirements and to offer continual product improvements and innovations.Besides meeting quality standards and performance challenges of each product, Rayform is committed to comply with the latest corporate and government directives.
Together with our teamwork devotion, well documented processes, carefully planned resources and documentation, QMS has helped us to achieve our quality objectives, provide improvement and novelty to our products and services, and to meet our customers’ requirements.
The core elements of our QMS are as follows:
ISO 9001:2000, a world-recognized standard, has been the primary system and tool in Rayform's management to define, identify and confirm quality benchmarks within our organization. Through ISO 9001:2000 certification, Rayform demonstrates a commitment on continual improvement in quality and customer satisfaction.
Based on its eight quality management principles (1.customer focus, 2. leadership, 3. involvement of people, 4. process approach, 5. system approach to management, 6. continual improvement, 7. factual approach to decision making, and 8. mutually beneficial supplier relationships), ISO 9001:2000 enables Rayform to take a systematic approach to its business objectives and to ensure processes are implemented and documented more efficiently and cost effectively.
Based on proven enterprise database architecture and technology, Rayform's ERP system links up the everyday routines of our factory operation by providing data integration and warehousing to processes like materials procurement, order tracking, product development, inventory control, production planning, shipment status, etc.
By consolidating information and workflows that are readily accessible and shared across our organization, our ERP gives us the enhanced capability and predictive visibility in data analysis, reports, and queries. The result is higher productivity and quicker response for Rayform, such as improvement in quality and customer service, supervised product development and document control, reduction in costs and cycle times, flexibility on operation planning and scheduling, etc.
These include prohibiting the hiring of child labor and use of forced labor, non-discrimination among workers, working hours and wages complying with local law and industry standards, and arranging occupational safety and fire escape training programs, etc.
In addition to providing to our workers a safe and healthy working environment and a comfortable and hygienic dormitory, Rayform's dedication to socially responsible business practices helps to develop an atmosphere where our workers are eagerly devoted to their job and tasks.
The 5S system consists of Seiri (Sort), Seiton (Straighten), Seiso (Shine), Seiketsu (Systemize), and Shitsuke (Sustain). Besides implementing ISO 9001:2000 as our key management system, Rayform actively promotes the 5S philosophy within our organization to increase workplace morale and efficiency. The simple yet subtle principles of 5S have allowed our workers and staff to develop a working attitude that achieves more productive output in their jobs.
The European Union (EU) adopted the Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive (also known as Directive 2002/95/EC) in an effort to minimize hazardous materials used in consumer products. Currently, the RoHS Directive in EU restricts the use of cadmium (Cd), hexavalent chromium (Cr6+), lead (Pb), mercury (Hg), polybrominated biphenyls (PBBs) and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE) in electronic and electrical goods.
Closely linked with the RoHS Directive is the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive (also know as Directive 2002/96/EC) which sets collection, recycling and recovery targets for electronic and electrical goods. Besides RoHS, the EU has also adopted the WEEE Directive to help protect the environment by requiring proper product recycling on electronic and electrical goods.
To comply with the RoHS and WEEE directives and as a commitment to our customers in Europe, Rayform has established green production lines and procedures, the use of compliant materials and components, and proper product and packaging labeling for all our electronic and electrical products shipping to the European Union market.
As part of our effort to combat terrorism and to build cooperative relationships with our customers especially in the U.S., Rayform has implemented programs based on C-TPAT criteria and guidelines in order to strengthen and improve overall security measures at our factory and in our supply chain. In addition to on-site security controls and systems at our factory, regular trainings and assessments are made to strengthen our security procedures and to educate our staff on the importance of C-TPAT.
